Payments at a glance

A one-time free trial of 3 days starts when you finish onboarding, with no payment method needed. After it, the App stays free with ads; a subscription bought through Google Play, intended at ₹99 per year in India and US$2.99 per year in other countries, removes the ads and unlocks the premium bubble styles, and renews automatically until you cancel in Google Play. Separately, if you turn on app blocking, you can pay once (intended ₹10 in India and US$1 in other countries) to remove that day's block, but you never have to: changing the limit or turning blocking off is always free.

01About the App

Brainrot Buddy is a digital-wellbeing tool for Android. It shows how long supported short-video apps were open on your phone, estimates how many short videos you watched, and offers goals, reminders, optional app blocking, optional sharing with friends and family, and a mascot to help you scroll less.

02Estimates, Not Exact Counts

Android does not give apps an exact count of reels or shorts watched. The counts Brainrot Buddy shows are estimates, based on time or, if you enable it, on swipes it detects. They can be too high or too low, and may change when the measured apps change. Do not rely on them where accuracy matters.

03Not Medical Advice

Brainrot Buddy is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, including addiction or any mental-health condition. The mascot's states, messages and suggested limits are general wellbeing prompts based on your own goals. If you are concerned about your health, speak to a qualified professional.

04Your Account

You can use the App as a guest or sign in with Google. You are responsible for your device and your Google account.

05Free Trial

When you finish onboarding, a one-time free trial of 3 days starts. During the trial you can use all features, and you are not asked to pay or to give a payment method. The trial is offered once per installation and is not restarted by signing out or repeating onboarding.

06Subscription

After the trial, the App stays free to use, with ads. A subscription bought through Google Play removes the ads and unlocks the premium bubble styles.

  • Price and period: the price and billing period shown on the subscription screen at the time of purchase, as reported by Google Play for your country. The intended price is ₹99 per year in India and US$2.99 per year in other countries; Google Play may show it in your local currency, and taxes may be added where they apply.
  • Renewal: the subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price, until you cancel.
  • Cancelling: cancel at any time in Google Play (Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Refunds: handled under Google Play's refund policies and applicable law.
  • Payment: processed by Google. We do not receive your payment details.

Without a subscription, every feature except the premium bubble styles stays available, including weekly statistics, goals, reminders and blocking. The free plan shows ads from Google AdMob, as described in the Privacy Policy; a subscription removes them. There are no ads during the free trial.

07App Blocking and Paid Unblocking

Blocking is on by default, with a daily limit of 100 reels until you change it, and works only once you enable the accessibility service. You can change the limit or turn blocking off at any time. While it is on, the apps you pick are covered by a break screen once your estimated count reaches your limit, including in split screen or a pop-up window. Because counts are estimates, the block can start earlier or later than your true count.

A focus timer, if you start one, covers every app you track until it ends and cannot be stopped early, so choose its length with care. Strict mode, if you switch it on, locks your daily reel goal and daily time goal and can only be switched off after your day resets.

From the break screen you can pay once through Google Play to remove the block until your new day starts (6:00 AM, unless you chose another time in Settings). The price is the one shown on the payment screen at the time; the intended price is ₹10 in India and US$1 in other countries. This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it does not renew. It applies to that day only. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policies and applicable law.

You never have to pay to regain access to your apps: you can change the limit or turn blocking off in Brainrot Buddy > Goals at any time, free of charge, or switch the Brainrot Buddy accessibility service off in Android settings. A block also ends by itself when your new day starts.

08Sharing with Friends and Family

Sharing is optional, off by default, and available only when you are signed in with Google. When you turn it on, the members of the groups you create or join can see your name and your daily totals, and you can see theirs. What is shared and how to stop is described in the Privacy Policy.

  • Anyone who has an invite link to a group can join it. You are responsible for who you send links to.
  • The person who created a group can rename it, delete it for everyone, and remove members. Anyone else can leave at any time.
  • Do not use group names or invites to harass, impersonate or mislead anyone, and do not add people who have not agreed to take part.
  • The figures other members see are the same estimates the App shows you, and can be too high or too low.
  • We may remove groups or sharing accounts that break these terms, and may limit how many groups and members there can be.

09Acceptable Use

Do not use the App to monitor another person's device without their knowledge and consent, to break the law, or to interfere with other apps or services. Do not reverse engineer the App except where the law allows it, and do not circumvent or tamper with the subscription check or Google Play Billing.
